RI Allied Health & Safety Institute is seeking $650,000 in funding to purchase and develop a new facility that will serve as a learning and community center, and our nonprofit headquarters. This building will provide essential services and create a lasting positive impact for the community and student we serve. Our organization has a proven track record of community health education and healthcare workforce training and development, and this funding will ensure we can expand our reach and effectiveness.

Organizational Background

Founded in 2012, RI Allied Health & Safety Institute has been dedicated to is to providing high quality, convenient, flexible and best comprehensive nursing/allied preparatory education courses at the lowest cost. Thus, Docendo discimus, a Latin proverb meaning "by teaching, we learn."

Currently, RI Allied Health & Safety Institute has limited places to deliver training test, institute wants to expand the school offering through a testing center facility.

RI Allied Health & Safety Institute is licensed by the RI Department of Health in April 2012 and is going through its final stage of accreditation by Rhode Island Commission of Post-Secondary Education. Training Format: Online hybrid, Virtual Hybrid and In-person classes.

Over the years, we have success we focus on education, job skills training, entrepreneurship, healthcare workforce training and development. Since 2012, RI Allied Health & Safety Institute (RIAHSI) has successfully certified over 1200 nursing assistants with 100s going on to become nurses, nurse practitioners and two doctors. We assist our graduates with job placement at the hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and rehabilitation centers.

We are currently running unique Initiative: “100 CNAs in 100 Days” workforce training program and Community Health Program: “Healthy Parishioners, Wealthy Parish” – provides healthcare resources and education, wellness checks, and health screening, blood sugar check, cholesterol, blood pressure and heart rate monitoring at the community centers and churches, etc.

The acquisition of this building aligns with our long-term vision to have our own school building and to become a nursing assistant NATCEP Testing Center and serve our students and community at large.

Project Description

The proposed building will serve as our school central campus, main educational and skill center. It will feature key amenities, such as, skills simulation labs, meeting spaces, study and mid-size library/resource room, events center, training areas and classrooms, community outreach services, etc.
