The RJ Rice Run is BACK!

COVID sadly forced the cancellation of the Run last fall, especially disappointing since it coincided with the race’s namesake, the legendary RJ Noonan’s 90th birthday.

The RJ Rice Run brings hundreds of alumni, parents, students and friends together to honor RJ’s contribution to the Rice community and raise money for Rice’s athletic programs.

RJ, a 1949 graduate of Rice’s predecessor, Cathedral High School, devoted his teaching and coaching career to generations of students. Until recently, RJ was still gracing our classrooms as a substitute teacher. He and his wife, Bridget continue to be a regular presence at Rice sporting events - our very own Rice “Super Fans.”

Most importantly, RJ has provided an enduring example of how to live an active, happy and faith-filled life.
