As we approach the close of another remarkable year, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for the generosity and enthusiasm you’ve shown for the School of American Music this year. Your support has allowed our students to learn, grow, perform, and discover the joy of music in ways that continue to inspire us every day.

This year, we invite you to consider making a year-end gift to our General Fund, which plays a vital role in sustaining our programs, keeping them strong, accessible, and evolving to meet the needs of our community.

One of our most urgent needs is the purchase of a new, properly functioning piano for our main teaching and performance space at the Arts & Education Building (14 Maple Street, Three Oaks). Our current instrument has served us well, but is no longer reliable for instruction or recitals. With your help, we aim to acquire a high-quality piano, cover the professional installation, and add a humidity-control unit to ensure its long-term care. This is an investment that will benefit students, teachers, and audiences for many years to come.

As we look ahead to 2026, we are excited to announce the development of two new initiatives that will expand our reach and deepen our impact:
“My Name Is” – A Community Music & Kindness Initiative
Inspired by our successful pilot at Springfield Elementary, this program brings students, choirs, and community groups together to promote empathy, respect, and anti-bullying through shared musical expression. Your support will help us secure materials, musicians, rehearsal spaces, and outreach efforts to bring this powerful program to life across Harbor Country.

Children’s Summer Music Camp
Launching next summer, this program will offer young musicians a week of creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning. From drumming and singing to songwriting and ensemble play, we aim to provide a joyful, affordable music experience for local children during a formative time in their lives.
