DEEP South Carolina is a non-profit organization founded in 2019 with a mission to equip South Carolina youth (ages 12-24) and their families with the resources necessary to lead successful and fruitful lives through the development, empowerment, and education of our people. DEEP SC empowers our youth through four main pillars: Social Emotional Learning, Mental Health and Wellness, Education, Job Training and Financial Literacy. These pillars are the foundation of our approach. All of DEEP SC’s programming is done through a culturally responsive lens that builds relational trust and community with the people we work with.

Vision Statement

DEEP is committed to developing and educating a community of people who are cognizant of their own positions and perspectives (emotionally, physically and financially) and the ways in which such positions and perspectives are interdependent with those of the greater community.

Once awareness is realized, it is our belief that community members will become advocates for themselves and each other; and feel empowered–individually and collectively–to begin actualizing a more engaging, loving, empathetic, and self-sustaining community. What we like to call, DEEP Community.

We build, encourage and empower DEEP Community through partnerships with local municipalities, schools, churches and community organizations. Through these collaborative partnerships we host:

• Social Emotional Instruction
• Counseling and Wellness services
• Life skills workshops
• Community engagement events such as: block parties, resource and wellness fairs, and the SAFE Summer Series.
