Community Prayer Breakfast in memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Add to Calendar 2023-04-15 07:45:00 2023-04-15 10:30:00 America/New_York Community Prayer Breakfast in memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Hosted by the Phoenixville Area Social Concerns Committee, Bryan Miller of Heeding God's Call to End Gun Violence will speak to the theme of "Belonging". Awards will be presented to students of the Phoenixville School District who participated in the Expression Contest whose theme is "I Belong and Here is Why." Awards will also be presented to deserving community members. Continental Breakfast is $15 per person, one dollar of which will be contributed to the Don Coppedge Memorial Fund. The event is scheduled to begin promptly at 7:45 on Saturday April 1, 2023 in the Phoenixville Middle School Cafeteria. <br> Phoenixville Area Middle School

Story

The Social Concerns Committee was formed in 1977 as a subcommittee of the Phoenixville Council of Churches. The name Phoenixville Area Social Concerns Committee was adopted in 2012.

Our Mission: “The Phoenixville Area Social Concerns Committee promotes social justice and community harmony throughout the Greater Phoenixville community in the spirit of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., through direct action and relevant events.”
