This is one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write.

After everything you’ve helped build here, the cats and I are being forced out of our home with just two weeks’ notice — not because we did anything wrong, but because the landlord demanded we leave.

Rescue work in Egypt is often dangerous, especially for a woman living alone. What is happening is illegal, but today the situation became terrifying.

There were threats of physical violence.
There was intimidation.
He even threatened to poison the street cats if I didn’t leave.

At this point, the cats and I are not safe.

I was so afraid the landlord would break in and release the cats that I had my mother stay at the shelter while I frantically searched for a new place. That is the level of fear we are living with right now.

Everything has shifted to one urgent goal:
👉 finding a safe place to move immediately.

To secure a new home here, landlords demand a large, non-refundable payment upfront. To move the cats safely and cover transportation costs, we urgently need about $700usd .
