When Chloe arrived on her confirmation retreat, with SPIRITUS, she didn’t know God. Society has so many differing voices telling people who God is, so it was easier to keep this hazy perspective of God at a distance. The SPIRITUS retreat set Chloe on the path to knowing Him more deeply.

After her confirmation, she wrote to SPIRITUS saying “ I just wanted to thank you all for helping me to find God. Since my confirmation retreat and learning all about who God is to me, I’ve just never been this close to him before. Thank you for helping me to find God and peace (at least for this specific moment). I was confirmed by Abbot Dane Radecki last night, and I wasn’t expecting a lot. As I was getting confirmed, something kind of changed and made me feel extra special…this was a different type of special though and I don’t think I would’ve been able to be where I’m at without you, so thank you!”

SPIRITUS missionaries give nine months of service to inspire 5,300 Catholic youth on 170 retreats throughout Wisconsin. The missionaries lead the youth into powerful encounters with Jesus that help the youth embrace a life of faith.
