We believe in the transformative power of art to cultivate radical wellness for Black youth. Too often, systemic barriers prevent Black girls, nonbinary youth, and women from accessing essential mental wellness resources.

Recent data indicates that Black youth are often less likely to receive treatment for depression, despite a rise in suicide attempts. And specifically for Black girls, issues of colorism, bullying, body shaming, lack of conflict resolution skills, depression, and LGBTQ+ issues more significantly impact their mental health.

Our approach is different. Through our art, we reclaim power, affirm worth, disrupt harm, and confront injustice. Art becomes a sanctuary where our needs and dreams are reimagined, and voices are amplified.
