The Young Warrior Project

The Young Warrior Project is an experiential therapy group for teen boys with two main goals in mind. First, to raise better boys and help usher in a generation of better, stronger and more responsible men. Second, to help save more teen boys and their families from the tragedy of suicide.

The high rate of suicide committed by teen boys is a silent epidemic. More and more families have become to familiar with the tragedy of suicide. Our boys are failing. Their mental health is failing. Our current efforts to help them are failing. They need something different and they need something better.

The Young Warrior Project will get our boys out of the house where they can engage in experiences that get them active and get them moving. They will play sports, learn new things and have fun. We want them to grow and we want them to have fun. It's a group that is ran by a therapist who will provide a short group debriefing after the activity. Therapists will teach them about communication, compassion, empathy, facing fears, building self-esteem, seeing things through and general principles of resiliency. Boys will be taught and mentored about how to be men by men who care about them and want to teach and mentor them.

Our mission is to provide the means for our boys to be supported as they traverse the challenges of growing and maturing. It's our desire and our goal to create a better future for them and the world they live in by raising better boys and raising them to be better men.
