Habitat for Humanity of the Northern Flint Hills is proud to announce, "Hope ReStored," a program dedicated to helping low-income families meet their furniture needs with dignity and ease. This program is in partnership with Be Able, Manhattan Emergency Center, Manhattan Area Resettlement Team, Shepherds Crossing, and Catholic Charities.
Hope ReStored provides $100 gift cards to families, enabling them to purchase furniture regardless of their financial status. The program operates through the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, known for its wide range of affordable home goods and building materials. Unlike other assistance programs, ReStore is not need-based, which means shoppers come from diverse financial backgrounds, fostering a community of inclusivity and mutual support.
The program works through Habitat for Humanity of the Northern Flint Hills, partnering with various local organizations to distribute gift cards to families in need. These organizations identify eligible families and ensure the gift cards reach those who will benefit most. By working with a network of local organizations, Hope Restored ensures that assistance is effectively targeted and reaches those in need while also promoting collaboration and community support. Families can then use these gift cards at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore to meet their furniture needs.
The ReStore, a key part of Habitat’s operations, sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, and building materials at a fraction of the retail price, with proceeds supporting Habitat’s mission. Together, we can ensure that everyone has a place to call home, furnished with hope and dignity.
