Ready to Learn: Preparing Westmoreland’s Children for School

Every school year, far too many children in Westmoreland, Jamaica return to the classroom without the basic supplies they need to succeed. For families facing economic hardship, backpacks, notebooks, and pencils are often out of reach.

The Ready to Learn Initiative was created to change that.

Through this program, The Westmorelite Foundation provides backpacks and essential school supplies so students can begin the school year prepared, confident, and ready to focus on learning.

This initiative is part of our broader commitment to education, recovery, and community resilience in Westmoreland.
