We all know that life can be hard sometimes. A breast cancer diagnosis can make it even harder. All the women in the video are breast cancer survivors, these are excerpts of their stories:

"Three weeks ago I was in a hospital bed trying to figure out what my next steps were. What do I do now? Am I going to survive? Am I strong enough?"

"When the doctor told me to be prepared for the toughest 12 to 18 months of my life, it's hard to grasp what that means. But in hindsight, now that I've been through it, yeah, it was the toughest."

"...You put that plan together, you take a deep breath, you find time for yourself to be strong, but also find time for yourself to not be strong."

"I want you to remember, you're strong, you're a warrior. Get up off the couch. You're bald. You're sick. Get off the couch, open the blinds, let that sun kiss you on your cheek. Get on with your day. You've got five seconds to cry, then you got to walk out the door. Get it done."

This film, She's a Real Hero, was produced pro-bono, free of charge, through an amazing donation of time and talent from several local partners: Fable Branding + Advertising for creating, writing, and producing this amazing concept; Stolen Moment Films for directing, filming and editing; Alice Blue Studio for visual effects; Rainmaker Studios for voice talent and recording; and most of all, the local breast cancer survivors who star in this film. This passion project came together to raise awareness for the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation and the help it provides to all Virginians affected by this disease.
