We at The C Major Project always strive to provide artistic music that keeps Catholic values culturally relevant, and we partner with other organizations that hold similar values. We are excited to bring you our newest project to support Regina Caeli Academy, a homeschool hybrid model of education.

Our Catholic faith is embedded in the culture and curriculum of RCA. We ensure our teachers and staff are committed to faithful adherence to the Holy Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church through an oath of fidelity. Students have frequent access to the sacraments of the Eucharist and Reconciliation, regular religion classes following the Baltimore Catechism, and regular interactions with religious clergy.

Our carefully designed homeschool hybrid model offers support to parents with an accredited classical curriculum for PreK through 12th grade. Students attend classes by grade level at their local campus centers on Mondays and Thursdays and follow the integrated curriculum at home during the remainder of the week. Campus classes are taught by teachers (we call them tutors) trained in the classical curriculum and the Socratic method to lead intentional discussion throughout the material as your child grows through stages of grammar, logic, and rhetoric. Our classical curriculum insists that the purpose of education is to cultivate a mind pursuant of truth and includes robust coursework in reading, writing, Latin, mathematics, music, debate, and the visual arts.

Since we are partnering with Regina Caeli Academy, our newest piece will center around the well-known Marian antiphon, Regina Caeli. It is a chant written for the "Queen of Heaven" that is typically sung during the Easter Season (there are three other Marian antiphons for other times of the year). It is probably safe to say that most all of the students and faculty of Regina Caeli Academy are familiar with this chant!

We have taken the chant melody and will use it as the starting point for an extended theme-and-variations form work for orchestra and piano.

Check out how the piece will begin; this is the statement of the theme; very simple. Each subsequent rendering of the tune will vary it to some degree.

We even hope to stage a live performance of it upon its completion, but it takes so much financial support to make that happen...
