Rent for Xanders Mom in Croatia

In February of 2022, while Russia was invading Ukraine, Xander, some members of our ministry staff and the Rescue Shelter kids were hiding in a root cellar in our village.  While trying to keep our kids safe, Xander was also half a country away (in his mind) worried about the safety of his mother who was alone in Poltava, Ukraine.  In March, while Xander and kids were waiting to evacuate the country, he made arrangements for his mother to go on ahead of them to Croatia.  

Xanders mom arrived in Croatia in mid March and thanks to the local church there, an apartment was ready and waiting for her.  The church, with the help of generous donations, have covered her rent since her arrival three years ago.  Xanders mom is unable to work in Croatia and the church has gone through all of the funds donated for Ukrainian Refugee relief.  

As we approach March and her rental contract needs to be renewed, the church has shared that they can no longer cover the expense.  We are grateful for all that they have done, but now the burden falls to Xander.  While Xander loves his mother deeply, he does not have the resources to cover her rent, utilities, groceries, medicine, etc.  He is already carrying some of those expenses, but the rent expenses are something that he cannot carry.

Xander is so important to everything we do.  Without him, we could not serve the kids in our Rescue Shelter.  He shoulders ALL of the legal burden for the kids, their health and education.  He oversees the house moms and much more.  

We want to help Xander and his mom.  We want to raise $650 a month to cover his moms rent for the next year.  This will take the burden off of Xander.  To give some perspective, Xander earns $1,250 working for Jeremiah's Hope.  So, $650 a month would be more than half his salary each month.
