It's time to RESCUE THE ROOF!

We are calling on our supporters near and far to help us rescue our barn roof from disrepair! The current roof has deteriorated rapidly over the past few years, and despite our efforts to maintain it, it is no longer providing adequate protection for our sanctuary residents during the rainy season. When we purchased our property in 2016, we knew that the existing barn would be crucial in providing shelter for the animals we planned to rescue in the future. Despite its condition, for many years it served its purpose of providing shelter for animals in need, rescued from neglect, poor health, abuse, or abandonment. However, the time has come for us to address its many issues. The cost of the renovation is extensive and we are turning to all our supporters for help in raising the $30,000 required for this project before the next rainy season begins!

Over the past few months, we have contacted multiple companies to obtain quotes for this project. Through this process, we discovered that the work involves more than just installing a new roof. We will need additional roof trusses to prevent the sag our current roof has, gutters to redirect water away from the barn, and newer steel roofing that will stand up to not only rain but also the wind and brutal summer heat in our area.

Roof: $18,000

Trusses: $4,200

Gutters: $2,000

Labor: $4,500

Total: $28,700
