Rebuild Hope. Restore Jamaica
On October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa made landfall in southwestern Jamaica as one of the strongest storms the island has ever experienced. It slammed into parishes like St. Elizabeth and Trelawny, leaving roads impassable, power grids down for the majority of the island, and hospitals struggling to function. For communities already burdened by limited resources, the impact is devastating, but recovery is possible. That’s why Caring Hub, with our experience supporting medical and educational initiatives in Jamaica and Atlanta, is mobilizing now, together with the Kurt Douglas Foundation, to help communities rebuild, heal, and thrive.
We're launching funds to support efforts in three key areas:
Community Renewal Fund: Delivers recovery kits with clean water, food, lighting, and essential supplies to restore dignity and daily life in Jamaica’s hardest-hit communities
Health Resilience Fund: Repairs hospitals and clinics, restocks medical supplies, and ensures that lifesaving care continues for families in need across the island.
Future Forward Fund: Supports students and schools by replacing materials, rebuilding libraries, and restoring safe learning spaces so children can keep dreaming and achieving.
