Rise Up for Mental Health Supporting NAMI Tarrant County
Serving Tarrant, Johnson, Parker and Wise County. NAMI Tarrant County has seen growth and drops, but today our focus is fostering strength, understanding & support for Mental Illness and Mental Health in each of the 4 counties we serve. In 2026 NAMI Tarrant County has a growth objective of doubling support groups, adding classes and 7 QPR Suicide Prevention presentations. Our mission: NAMI Tarrant County is dedicated to improving the lives of all individuals affected by mental illness here in the Greater Fort Worth area through education, support, and advocacy programs.
This year we served almost 200 individuals in support groups. This doesn't include the countless hours of interactions.
We can't do it alone.
Will You Rise Up Today?
Impact of your gift:
- $15 a month provides 300 pieces of outreach materials. Enough for one event.
- $25 a month provides one facilitator for our support groups per month. Our facilitators must have lived experience and train for approximately 16 hours to have the appropriate skills to help in almost any situation during support group.
- $35 a month allows us to bring 3 QPR Suicide Prevention classes to the public, which ultimately has the power to give 105 individuals the internal toolbox to help prevent suicide. The US suicide numbers continue to rise, especially a month 10-35 year olds and men over 65.
- $50 a month provides one 6-session award winning class. These include classes such as NAMI Family-to-Family, NAMI Peer-to-Peer, NAMI HomeFront.
One in-person training class to train 12 individuals as facilitators for support groups costs us about $4,000
