In this cinematic portrait of the forgotten Mississippi Delta, a coalition region of Together for Hope, we follow inspirational individuals who, despite challenging personal hardships, are determined to keep hope alive in their communities and turn the tables on the degrading narrative of rural poverty. These are not the only stories...there are so many more to tell. We believe that by telling these stories from within the 338 counties of persistent rural poverty in this nation through film, we can help educate our country to activate to transform rural America.

The team at Rising Hope is honored to bring the story of the Mississippi Delta to places and spaces throughout the nation. From coast to coast, Rising Hope starts conversations about race, class, and hope for a more equitable world inside Mississippi and outside Mississippi– these are the types of meaningful conversations that ignite widespread change.

From the beginning of our production process, this film has largely been a grassroots community effort. We need support to amplify this story in the way it deserves. For each individual screening we hold, costs include travel for participants and crew, venue rentals, marketing, and so much more.
