D-Day! June 6th, 1944. A day were nearly 160,000 troops landed on the beaches of Normandy. The single largest operation in history, and one that started the march to destroy the evils of the Nazi regime.

Next year will be the 80th Anniversary of D-Day. I will be attempting to complete GoRuck Selection, the single hardest endurance event on the planet. With less than a 3% completion rate, GoRuck Selection is designed after the US Army's Special Forces Assessment and Selection, the first step in a Soldier's journey to becoming a US Army Green Beret.

This is a huge undertaking in both training and fundraising, but simply having the chance to stand on holy ground where giants of men stood stared evil and almost certain death in the face is an opportunity I cannot pass up.

Money raised will be split and donated to three organizations. Two organizations help with the fight against Soldier and Veteran suicide. Mission 22 and Base Camp 40 are two organizations that help Veterans in a number of ways from counseling and therapy to activities such as camping, fishing, and hunting as well as supporting other organizations like the Green Beret Foundation.

The third organization, Operation Underground Railroad, works with law enforcement agencies around the world to lead the fight against child sex trafficking and sexual exploitation and aid in the rescuing of children, and ensure ongoing aftercare
