Rogue Water Lab is a creative hub advancing trust and support for water through better engagement. We design experiences, resources, and networks that help water professionals communicate (and connect) with clarity, empathy, and impact. Our mission is to transform how the water sector connects with people — shifting from awareness campaigns to genuine, two-way relationships that drive understanding and collective action.
We specialize in translating complex water issues into accessible stories and strategies that resonate with policymakers, utilities, and communities. Through our programs and partnerships, Rogue empowers water leaders to engage effectively, navigate challenging conversations, and strengthen the bonds between people and their water providers.
Rogue Water Lab Programs:
The Catalyst Convening is an immersive, multi-day gathering for water professionals dedicated to elevating communication, leadership, and engagement practices. It brings together thought leaders, practitioners, and storytellers from across the sector to explore how trust is built (and sometimes broken) through real engagement. We model what we teach, and each year participants go on a journey of study rather than move around a conference center from session to session. Participants leave with actionable tools, creative inspiration, and a supportive network of peers committed to advancing the public trust in water.
Convergence is Rogue’s year-long master class that equips participants with advanced communication and engagement strategies. Through monthly sessions, guided practice, and mentorship, Convergence cultivates confident, informed leaders who can navigate public discourse, engage policymakers, and strengthen their organization’s connection with the communities they serve.
Beyond these flagship initiatives, Rogue offers a variety of in-person and virtual training workshops, produces periodic podcast projects, and hosts Hallway Hot Takes — rapid-fire, collaborative video features at conferences that spark candid discussion and shared learning across the sector.
