Turn Your Happy Dollar Into a World Without Polio

Every dollar tossed into our Happy Dollars basket is a step toward eradicating polio — and thanks to a 2‑for‑1 match from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, your impact triples instantly.

For more than 35 years Rotary has led the global fight against polio, helping reduce cases by 99.9 %. Alexandria Central Rotary Club invites you to join that legacy. Whether you’re a Rotarian adding a cheerful dollar during our weekly meeting or a neighbor who simply cares about healthier tomorrows, this page makes giving effortless and powerful.

Why Polio?

A child is still at risk. Wild poliovirus remains endemic in just two countries (Afghanistan & Pakistan), but outbreaks anywhere threaten kids everywhere.

Vaccines work. Only immunization can finish the job; your gift helps deliver them.

We’re this close. “End Polio Now” isn’t a slogan—it’s an achievable milestone within our lifetimes.

How Your Gift Multiplies

You give $10 → credited instantly on this GiveButter page.

Rotary International aggregates all club gifts.

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation matches 2‑for‑1. Your $10 becomes $30 for immunization, surveillance, and rapid‑response teams. (Match valid up to $150 million per year.)

About Happy Dollars

At each Alexandria Central meeting we share good news—birthdays, job wins, puppy adoptions—and drop a few “Happy Dollars” into the pot. Those joyful moments now ripple worldwide by funding End Polio Now. Couldn’t make the meeting? Click Donate and celebrate with us virtually!
