How Partners! The Lemonade Stand Challenge is back...with a BANG!

There's a challenge that's been made...A Duel! A battle of lemonade stands! Will it be Russell… or will it be Hays? Russell and Hays are fundraising for their accessible parks! Let's show 'em how it's done!

WANTED! Lemonade Stand Supporters to help out the young and the young at heart who have signed up for the Challenge! We need your help! Stop by the stands June 21^st and 22^nd during the 3^rd annual Russell Play Park Lemonade Stand Challenge to help lasso up some serious funds for the Russell Play Park!

Area families, friends, and businesses have signed up for the challenge, hosting stands June 21-22, selling lemonade and other goodies to raise funds for the Russell Play Park. Participants are competing for cool prizes in 3 categories: Best Stand Design, Most Creative Name, and Most Money Raised! Local businesses are also lending their support by donating prizes for the challenge. Everyone who hosts a stand will receive something. It's lots of fun and a great way to get involved and help build a park for EVERYONE!

The History

Over 20 years ago, the Russell community came together to raise funds and build a beautiful playground in Memorial Park. Many happy hours have been spent there by area children, but the playground is nearing the end of its lifespan.

Russell Play Park - The Plan

A campaign is underway to raise funds to build a fully accessible playground in its place! This playground will include ramps allowing access to upper levels of the main play structure, a wheelchair accessible merry go round and glider, sensory equipment, and best of all, a surface material that will provide ease of movement around the space for all, including those in wheelchairs and with mobility challenges.

The fundraising plan utilizes foundation grants, business sponsorships, private donations, and events to fund the Russell Play Park.
