The son of a slave, my grandfather inspired others to be more than society said was possible.

Since the Wm. Chester Ruth Legacy Project began its journey, we have endeavored to inspire our communities and encourage its students, especially minority students. Many presentations have been given to churches, community organizations, historical societies, and retirement communities.

We partnered with Lancaster Pennsylvania’s Bright Side Opportunities Center STEM program to bring their students into the world and mind of W.C. Ruth. And a presentation tailored to elementary age children is now part of our outreach programming.
