At Gilmore Gardens, we care for our incredible rescue ducks, each with their own hilarious personality and charm. Our flock includes Delilah, Daniel, Danica, Delaney, Doloris, Daphne, Dorothy, Denise, Dagman, Devra, and Doreen. They keep us laughing, the dogs adore them, and best of all, they gift us with fresh eggs every morning!

We collect their eggs, scramble them, and add a little to every dog bowl. It’s a simple way to give our rescues and fosters an extra boost of nutrition.

Our Rescue Mission
Many of our ducks came from tough situations. Devra, Doreen, Dorothy, and Denise all survived eye injuries from predator encounters. Through Carolina Waterfowl Rescue, we’re able to take in injured or vulnerable ducks and give them a peaceful, protected home where they can live out their lives in comfort.

At Gilmore Gardens, every duck receives love, enrichment, safe shelter, fresh food, mealworms, and essential care. They give us joy, and their eggs help us give our dogs extra nourishment in return.
