Caitie B. is a powerhouse vocalist from the Northeast US who has been actively ascending in the New Orleans music scene since the inception of her band in the spring of 2023, Caitie B. & The Hand Me Downs.

Caitie B’s origin story:

Aspiring to make music her full time job since 2014, Caitie B. was hard at work in the corporate realm financially supporting her then husband’s ambitions of grad school and professional musicianship. She project managed, financed, and promoted events and gigs for their group at the time, Linden Street Connection. When it was made clear her wishes of exiting the 9-5 workforce to pursue music would always be secondary to those of her husband, Caitie B. took a leap of faith and left the life she knew behind.

Spawned after her divorce in 2023, Caitie B. & The Hand Me Downs has since defined themselves as a top notch act with their funky blues & soul sound. They have penned original music and have landed multiple residencies on Frenchmen Street. Caitie B. single-handedly leads & foots the bill for her band’s projects, including an 11-track recording plan they have been working on since May 2025 as well as a planned 2 week tour of the Northeast in August 2025. Despite all of her accomplishments as a band leader, Caitie B. has upped the anti with a bold 5-year plan for the group which includes additional tours and further releases of their original music. As a female leader, she experiences setbacks in this male dominated music industry due to her gender. But this hasn’t stopped her from continuing to push for her band’s advancement.

The August 2025 tour kicks off on August 23rd in Philadelphia, PA and continues through NYC, DC, Baltimore, and North Carolina. Post tour, the band will be releasing their yet-to-be-titled debut double EP.

To make this aspiration a reality, Caitie B. needs help! The tour will cost her roughly $8,000 out of her own pocket which includes the fee for a vehicle, food, lodging, and merch amongst other costs that will help make the tour a resounding success.
