It is with great pleasure that I serve on the Board of Directors of CASA of Prince Georges County, Maryland. On my journey, I found purpose in advocating for equitable spaces for marginalized opportunity youth groups that are under-resourced and underserved in the areas of finances, social development, workforce development, and academic preparation that many young people face as they matriculate into adulthood. The difference between success and failure is intrinsic drive and motivation and largely extrinsic opportunities that young people do not receive equally. Foster youth are especially prone to these factors. Thank you for helping provide a voice for a child in foster care!
