We have just over $1000 left. With a $619 storage unit rent, other monthly expenses, and events planned for the year, this is not sustainable for us. We only have enough to BARELY last two more months.

For over three years, we’ve been providing basic essentials to low-income families in the South Bay so that they can do more than survive. We are the biggest mutual aid group in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. So many families depend on us. If you’ve ever been to a Community Loving event, you know how special it is.

We are completely funded by the people in our community. We cannot rely on the government to make sure our community's basic needs are being met, especially not with dignity and respect. Our organization aims to fill the gap, to help families have access to the essentials, support, and community without "earning it" - because everyone deserves access to clothes on their back, healthy food, and a safe space. Community Loving was founded under the premise that we only have each other, and to that end we have a responsibility to each other.

Our vision is to reclaim the South Bay area of LA by serving the Black & Brown communities that are often forgotten here and transforming it into a more autonomous & loving community that centers collective care.

We want to make sure these families are provided with safe spaces, are heard, are uplifted, and supported so they can do more than just survive. We want to be a model of what COMMUNITY LOVING really looks like.
