South Bay Sustainable Communities Network builds healthy and sustainable communities by encouraging people to create lasting change in their daily lives through education and community engagement in environmental conversation, neighborhood composting, edible food recovery and sustainable urban farming.  

By embracing sustainable practices -- such as diverting food waste from landfills to cut greenhouse gas emissions, rescuing edible food to support those facing food insecurity, and creating urban gardens -- we can mitigate the impacts of climate change and help build a more resilient, equitable future for generations to come.
