Thousands of San Diegans believe that our food system should nourish all of us, become the bridge for a thriving green workforce, and regenerate the land and waterways that we and our plant and animal kin all depend on. If we get these things right, imagine what else we could do.

Giving Tuesday is a national celebration of philanthropy.  Here at South Bay Sustainable Communities, we are continually inspired by the resilience and determination of the Youth 4 Sustainable Future (Y4SF), who are paving the way as leaders of the Regenerative Generative.  Since the inception of Y4SF in February 2022, this student-led program has diverted over 177,000 lbs of food waste from the landfill, preventing the production of 120,000 lbs of CO2e GHG emissions.
