Nick Sontag's Story

I’m taking on something big this year.

I signed up to ride in the Steamboat Gravel Race as part of Team Lucky Bikes, thanks to my good friend Andrew Goodwillie. If you know Andrew, you know how passionate he is about Lucky Bikes and the impact it has on kids. That energy is contagious, and it didn’t take much for me to say yes.

I’ll be attempting the Blue Course: 73 miles with 5,800 feet of climbing. This will be the biggest ride I’ve ever taken on, and I’m not totally sure what to expect, but that’s kind of the point. I’m excited, a little nervous, and ready to put in the work to get there.

What makes this challenge worth it is who I’m riding for.

Lucky Bikes gives young people the chance to learn real skills, build confidence, and see what they’re capable of. Whether it’s fixing their first flat, earning a bike of their own, or getting hands-on job experience, these programs open doors.

So while I’m out there training and pushing through long miles and tough climbs, I’m doing it to support those opportunities for kids.

If you’re able to give, I’d really appreciate your support. It all goes toward helping more kids ride, learn, and grow through Lucky Bikes.

Thanks for being part of it.
