Having experienced life in Angola during its civil war, I have developed a deep awareness of the fragile conditions many people endure. Supporting others in their greatest moments of need is not just a mission—it's deeply personal to me.
The year 2025 has already brought an urgent call for action: the devastating fires in Los Angeles, the ongoing wars in Sudan, Gaza, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Yemen, and countless other crises around the world.
To make a difference, I am challenging myself to visit, photograph, and share 30 monuments and memorials in 30 days across Washington, DC. This initiative aims to raise funds for ShelterBox, providing vital support to families in their greatest time of need.
