Help Fund A Local Community-Led MicroGrant Project by April 30th!
Champion innovation in public health and improve lives across communities.
The MicroGrants Program provides small grants and hands-on support to Bay Area frontline workers and people with lived experience to pilot a public health solution to address an urgent local need.
Springboard is working to raise $5,000 by April 30 to fund one new MicroGrant project supporting local, community-led ideas that might otherwise go unfunded. Together, we can ensure the next bold idea has the chance to grow.
$5,000 = one community-led MicroGrant.
Your tax-deductible gift directly fuels bold, locally driven public health solutions and sends a clear message that community-led innovation deserves investment, even as broader funding is withdrawn. Thank you for your partnership!
Bold ideas can transform public health, but too often they lack the funding, infrastructure, and support to thrive. Springboard HealthLab is a nonprofit incubator that invests in bold, community-led public health ideas to grow and scale, especially those designed by frontline workers and people closest to the challenges they seek to address. In a time marked by real uncertainty for public health, their work continued to grow and deliver meaningful impact.
In 2025, Springboard HealthLab:
Achieved an extraordinary milestone of delivering over 1 million HIV self-tests nationwide through Together TakeMeHome, with 26% of users testing for the first time reaching people who might otherwise go untested
Funded four Bay Area local innovation MicroGrants, supporting frontline workers and community members to pilot solutions addressing critical gaps in care for underserved populations
Launched Pitch Day, opening the door to bold health equity ideas from community organizers, technologists, and emerging public health leaders across the country, funding two new innovators with significant potential to scale
Expanded at-home HIV testing globally in 11 countries, helping more people access stigma-free HIV testing around the world
