The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is a unique landscape where traditional pastoralism coexists with abundant wildlife, including lions. However, livestock predation often leads to retaliatory killings, threatening lion populations and disrupting their connectivity across the region.

Since 2011, KopeLion has worked to foster human-lion coexistence, collaborating with local communities to reduce conflicts, monitor lions, and protect this iconic species. To do this, we must go where the lions go—across rugged, muddy terrain where Land Rovers are simply the best 4x4 by far.

Our trusted Land Rovers, Ghafla and Frankie, have served us tirelessly for years, but the unforgiving terrain has taken its toll. Without them, our ability to respond quickly and effectively is at risk.
