She knocked on our door last week—six little ones trailing behind her.

They had been sleeping in their car for weeks in the Georgia summer heat, with barely working air conditioning.

She had visited every shelter in Atlanta and Cobb, but there was no space. Someone finally directed her to us.

She said she was fleeing domestic violence. She was out of options.
Her kids were sick and exhausted, falling asleep on our couches in the only clothes they had.

We spent the day doing what we could—finding emergency shelter, securing a hotel near a job opportunity, providing clothes and supplies. But we couldn’t meet all their needs. That is why we are reaching out to your to join us and just help!

We have already covered over $1,000 for this family, but we need to raise an additional $1,200 for housing and car repairs to get them through until a long term shelter is available.

With her permission, we are sharing her story.
She wants you to know how hard this is—and that families like hers often have nowhere to turn.
