The Big Give

The Big Give is Scituate Community Christmas' signature program and foundational to our mission: Inspired by our core values of kindness, compassion, philanthropy, and volunteerism, we honor the legacy of our founder Susan Phippen by supporting families and individuals during times of hardship, spreading joy to those who need it most, and recognizing those dedicated to serving our community. 

To quote our founder, The Big Give ensures that “each child has something to open on Christmas morning.” In her honor, for more than three decades, we’ve helped ensure thousands of children experience the magic of whatever holiday their family celebrates. This would not be possible without the ongoing generosity and support of our beloved community.

While we have expanded our programming to assist families and individuals through hardship year-round, we’re proud to continue to support the Big Give program and grateful for all the ways we have evolved our organization to support even more of our friends and neighbors in need.
