The last decade has been one of the most challenging of my life both personally and professionally. In the last month, I have turned 70. As I begin this new decade, I have leaned back into the things I love to do. One of them is singing.
My father who himself was a voice major and music teacher had advised me not to choose music as my career, but as my avocation. Alas, my career as a physician scientist was so fast paced and full that I did not have time to devote to singing until about 15 years ago.
I am grateful to have found a choir that sings interesting music, is a talented group of musicians, and who, like me, love to travel.
