Imagine a child in St. Vincent and the Grenadines discovering for the first time the island’s towering volcanic peaks, lush tropical forests, and the brilliant St. Vincent Parrot—the vibrant national bird found nowhere else in the world. Picture their eyes lighting up with awe and curiosity as they realize the unique beauty and value of their natural surroundings.

Now, imagine these same ecosystems—rich with life—under threat. Climate change, habitat destruction, and limited awareness are putting the future of St. Vincent’s natural heritage at risk. Many in the local community have yet to learn how these ecosystems connect to their own well-being and the world’s health.

That’s where SCIENCE, a St. Vincentian NGO led by the passionate and visionary Lystra Culzac, comes in. For over 13 years, Lystra and her team have introduced students, families, and communities to the wonders of nature. Through hands-on programs and engaging activities, they’ve sparked curiosity and empowered countless Vincentians to care for their environment.

But there’s a challenge—SCIENCE has no permanent base. Their programs currently operate in borrowed classrooms and community spaces, limiting their ability to grow and create lasting impact.

Together, we can change that.

SCIENCE is working to raise $45,000 to build the SCIENCE Education and Conservation Center—a dedicated home for education, exploration, and action. This center will be a hub for learning, where students can discover the magic of science, families can connect with nature, and future environmental stewards can find inspiration.
