5k for Carnegie By the Start of Spring!

Help SCVYO in our fundraising efforts to get our students to Carnegie Hall in Spring of 2024!

During this tour, in addition to performing on the world-famous Carnegie Hall stage, our students will see the New York Philharmonic, attend a broadway show, and visit important cultural landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island Museum & more! Our goal is to raise $5,000 by the beginning of our Spring Semseter, February 4th, 2024 that will go directly toward facilitating this once-in-a-lifetime experience for our students!

$25 - Covers the entry cost of one student to visit the Museum of Modern Art (home of Van Gogh's Starry Night, and other masterpieces!)

$50 - Covers the cost of SCVYO music binders for our students to use during their Carnegie Performance

$150 - Provides a ticket for one student to see the New York Philharmonic perform Rachmaninov Piano Concerto & Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony at Lincoln Center!

$250 - Enables a group of 4 students to visit the Statue of Liberty / Ellis Island Museum!

$500 - Covers all meals for 2 students.

$1000 - sponsors the cost of renting the large instruments needed for our Carnegie Hall Performance (can't take those cellos and basses on the plane!)

$2500 - sponsors the full cost of one student's participation in the Carnegie Hall tour, who would otherwise not be able to take part.

The Santa Clarita Valley Youth Orchestra (SCVYO) is a non-profit organization that provides stewardship of several instrumental ensembles, including Novae Sinfonia, Orchestra, Preludes, and Chamber Ensemble. The SCVYO has served the Santa Clarita Valley community and surrounding areas for over 30 years. The SCVYO seeks to provide an instrumental education program for students eight years and older. Students study all periods of music with opportunities for master classes with Los Angeles’ finest musicians, chamber music performances, and travel.

Students, through exposure to expert instruction, musical knowledge, and ethnic diversity, acquire a love of beauty, learn to pursue excellence, demonstrate personal growth as musicians, and enrich the cultural life of our community.

Please consider supporting our exceptional young musicians in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Any amount is greatly appreciated!
