My YMCA journey started when I was 18 at a different Y, working as a School Age Child Care Before and After Care staff member and Summer Camp Counselor. What began as a job quickly became a passion for serving kids and families. When I came to the Sussex County YMCA, that passion came with me. I worked in Child Watch and continued supporting families in new ways. Now, at 34, I’m proud to be the School Aged Child Care and Camp Director—watching kids grow, helping families thrive, and mentoring staff who are just starting their own Y journeys. That’s why I’m fundraising for the Sussex County YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign. This year’s theme, Charge Ahead, reflects who we are: one for the community and focused on building energy for the future. Your support ensures every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and belong—no matter their circumstances. The YMCA invested in me, and now I get to help invest in the next generation.
