Girls Rising Above Child Exploitation Proud to be Part of San Diego Gives 2024

What is San Diego Gives?

San Diego Gives is a yearly 24-hour online fundraiser focused on September 5th addressing the needs of our own community. It shines a light on the tremendous work of local nonprofit organizations throughout our community.

Through San Diego Gives, we aim to expand our services to serve even more youth across San Diego County.

Your Donation Impacts Our Local Community

At G.R.A.C.E., we work with young girls and women ages 12-24 who are often voiceless and a forgotten group of women. In San Diego alone, there are hundreds of individuals who are preyed upon and trafficked within our local $800+ million underground economy. G.R.A.C.E. is rooted in empathy, giving young women the tools and confidence to discover their worth, restore their lives and become thriving members of society.

In 2023, because of your generosity, we were able to impact the lives of over 100 worthy young ladies and children.

Last year we had group attendance of 491 in our after-school programs.
Provided 545 meals and gave 427 rides through our GRACE Meals & Wheels programs.
Gifted a $500 scholarship for a local youth's higher education
Provided laptops to youth seeking to enroll in college and pursue their degrees
Each year, we grow in capacity to serve more youth and meet more individual needs.

In addition to our GRACE Creatives and Actives groups, we launched our GRACE University program where we brought in professionals and educators to prepare our youth for employment and plan their future careers. Here is a testimonial from one of the youth who attended our GRACE University Employment Prep program:

“I personally have loved working with GRACE. I went to GRACE University for the careers one and enjoyed every session. They have been great mentors and taught me how to network and grow my connection with other people, including the community around me. Many of them have believed and helped me further my future as well as be supported.”

Programming like GRACE University connects these young women with positive role models via a mentorship program, provides safe trauma-informed spaces via support groups for healing, and cheers these women on to ensure they feel seen, heard and supported. Through G.R.A.C.E., we have witnessed the incredible success stories of these women who have escaped dangerous and abusive living situations, furthered their education, and have gone on to live happy, healthy lives with newfound confidence and hope for the future.

San Diego Gives x Padres!

Join us for a special San Diego Gives and Padres fundraiser on September 5th at 5:40 pm at Petco Park as the Padres take on the Detroit Tigers! A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the "Love Them All" fund, helping to raise awareness and support for over 150 nonprofits in our San Diego community. There is a limited number of tickets reserved for this exciting event, so be sure to purchase yours soon—sales close on September 2nd. Invite your friends and family to celebrate the closing of the San Diego Gives campaign and be part of something truly impactful!
