SEACT launched its first season in 1974, welcoming the Dothan area to experience the friendship, education, and fun found in the spirit of community theatre. Since then, thousands of Wiregrass residents have played all kinds of roles in shaping SEACT to be a place for everyone to connect through theatre.
The mission remains steadfast as SEACT has expanded programming to include educational theatre opportunities for all ages, with special focus on students. The SEACT Student Company features activities ranging across a full season of productions, after-school classes, competition teams, and summer camps. This programming is critical and complimentary to the SEACT Main Stage season, meeting the mission of 1) creating high-quality entertainment 2) produced by local talent on stage and behind the curtain, and 3) introducing theatre to school-aged children.
At its heart, SEACT is a community organization that thrives only with your involvement and support. Your dollars turn into tuition waivers for students, low-cost classes and workshops, community-minded ticket prices, royalty payments for daytime school performances and special guest previews for youth service organizations, facility needs, and so much more.
As the curtain rises for the 2024/2025 SEACT season, we invite you to become a Member through financial support. All gifts are tax-deductible and appreciated. Those at $75 and above receive Member benefits.
