Provide Desks for Vulnerable Students in Uganda

At the Uganda Youth Aid Nursery and Primary School in Nakawa District, Kampala, over 1,000 vulnerable and disadvantaged students — many of them orphans — have a determination to learn, yet they are forced to sit on the cold, hard concrete floor during class. This is no place for a student to learn, write, or dream.

In February 2025, we built 20 sturdy desks that will last for decades, each seating five students. In August 2025, we built 11 more. Now, just 19 desks remain to ensure every student has a proper place to sit and learn. At $45 per desk, we need $855 for the desks, plus a small amount for staff transport, meals, and cell data to deliver them — a total of $1,000.
