My name is Molly Hirt, and I am a proud member of the Saint Ignatius Chicago Rowing Team. Being part of this team has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my high school years. Rowing has taught me the value of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

Our rowing team is entirely self-funded through athlete dues—we receive no financial assistance from Saint Ignatius College Prep. Rowing requires a large operating budget to pay for equipment, coaches’ salaries, bus rentals for team trips, insurance, boat storage, rower financial aid, and maintenance costs. The rowers’ dues cover only a portion of the costs necessary for team operations

As one of only four high school rowing teams in Illinois, we’re proud to carry forward the legacy of Saint Ignatius Chicago Rowing. But keeping this program afloat depends on people like you. Your donation to our annual fundraiser, RowRaiser 2025, will help sustain operations, including financial aid so that rowing at Ignatius is accessible to any interested student.
