Santa's Little Hackers Christmas in July

Santa’s Little Hackers is an annual seasonal toy workshop hosted by MaxMods, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We adapt mainstream toys to make them accessible for individuals with disabilities by adding external switches and simple modifications.

Most toys are not designed for children with disabilities who cannot play independently using their hands. By modifying the electronics to work with accessible switches, we make it possible for children with limited fine motor skills or physical abilities to activate and enjoy toys on their own.

Every adapted toy from Santa’s Little Hackers is provided free of charge to recipients, thanks to the support of donors and volunteers who help us bring inclusive play to individuals around the world.

We’re currently holding a Christmas in July fundraiser to get a head start on purchasing toys. Early donations help us plan, buy in bulk, and make sure we’re ready to deliver joy during the holiday season.
