Somos La Voz: Son Jarocho Youth 2026 Cohort

We are excited to launch a beginner Son Jarocho cohort through the Somos La Voz program, made possible by generous funding from Prebys Foundation and California Arts Council.

Program Details

• 10-week course

• Wednesdays, 5:30–7:30 pm

• Location: Via International

• Dates: February 4 – April 8, 2026

• Culminates in a pop-up event and performance

• Open to Mexican and Chicano teens who want to learn this traditional and sacred music form and connect with other youth and mentors

• Completely free (one-time registration fee of $25)

• Instruments provided

• Attendance required at all 10 classes

• Limited to 10 students – register as soon as possible
