Race4Chase is a youth triathlon program aimed to provide kids aged 6 to 12 with a safe, healthy non-competitive environment to discover the sport of triathlon. Kids get expert instruction in swimming, cycling, running, strength training and flexibility, under the supportive guidance of coaches, lifeguards and instructors. At the culmination of the 6 week training camp, all the youth athletes come together to compete in a USAT-sanctioned triathlon race.
Named for Chase Kowalski, an amazing little boy from Newtown, who loved to run, Race4Chase strives to empower kids to reach their full potential. It brings together kids from all different backgrounds and educates them on how to adopt a healthy lifestyle, coaches them to develop a foundation of athletic skills, and inspires them to aim high in sports and in life.
The Wallingford Family YMCA is in our ninth year of offering this fantastic program, which has inspired over 200 local youth & their families. We started Race4Chase with a generous grant from the CMAK Foundation, and now we need your help to continue. You can help give 35 Wallingford triathletes an unforgettable experience that will leave them accomplished, inspired and empowered.
