The SNAP Stretch program doubles and triples SNAP/EBT/P-EBT at 42 local farmers markets, farm stands, mobile markets, CSAs, and local retailers. This program captures federal food assistance dollars from the EBT/SNAP program (formerly food stamps) and philanthropic dollars into West Virginia's food and agriculture economy -- directly into farmers' hands.
Due to COVID-19 this program has experienced a 661% increase in participation, helping over 2000 families, expending $150,000 in SNAP Stretch funds already this season, and capturing over $100,000 in EBT/SNAP Dollars in our food system! Unfortunately, we didn't anticipate needing 3x more money than the 2019 season, so the program has run out of funding and nearly all of the markets have had to pause the use of the program. Please consider donating to this campaign.
