As we near the event, more information will be shared about the event and the livestream. Our State of Homelessness findings for 2022 remain as stark as ever - 1,577 Rhode Islanders (individuals, couples, and families) experienced homelessness on January 26, 2022 (our last “Point in Time” count). Today, there is an average wait of over one month for individuals and families seeking shelter. The solution is simple: we need more housing.

Location details are private and will be sent along with your ticket purchase.

Story

The Rhode Island Coalition to End Homelessness works collaboratively with advocates, providers, and faith-based organizations to create and advance lasting solutions to prevent and end homelessness. Notably, the Coalition, alongside advocates and constituents, lobbied and successfully passed the country’s first Homeless Bill of Rights in June of 2012 (bill S-2052).

Day to day the Coalition runs lead on the state’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and the permanent housing placement end of the Coordinated Entry System (CES) as well as the call center (available 365 days). We organize legal clinics for constituents, facilitates training sessions, and cohere advocates.
