We lost our son Joshua to suicide March 19, 2010. Since that day our lives have changed drastically and I lost a piece of me that will never return.

Everyday waking up and asking yourself what you did wrong, what could you have done differently, blaming yourself and so many unanswered questions. These are what I do not want any other parent to have to do. If we can educate our children on how to recognize mental health issues in themselves, friends and family we can help reduce the suicide rate.

Suicide is the fastest growing death in the US. We want to assist in lowering the numbers and are hoping this walk will do that.

Stomp out Suicide is a walk to provide training and resources in our schools and community. All donations, entry fees etc.. will be available to all schools within Miami & Linn Counties to assist with training for awareness of mental health challenges within the schools.

Join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow SOS to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss within our community.
