In 1967, Summit Speech School, now located in New Providence, began providing Listening and Spoken Language services to one classroom of rubella deafened and hard of hearing preschoolers. Today, the School has expanded and serves approximately 350 children annually birth through high school and is a statewide resource on hearing loss.

Summit Speech School is committed to providing therapeutic services to develop each child's listening and auditory skills, in combination with state of the art assistive hearing technology so that they may reach their maximum potential academically, socially and professionally. The results are amazing and our alumni are thriving; receiving college and advanced degrees, leading in their chosen professional fields, and raising their own families.

None of this would be possible without support from our friends and donors whose generosity helps make our services possible. Each year the School must raise approximately $1 million to provide: Early Intervention (children birth-three years of age), Preschool (children three-five years of age), Itinerant Mainstream Support Program services (children from preschool - high school) and Audiology services.
